On this page, I hope to answer any questions that might arise concerning my current policy on commissioned work and the purchase of originals.

Commissions

Availability: I accept commissions on a case-by-case basis. My commission schedule is currently open through 2008.

Subject Matter: Please refer to the works currently on view in the galleries to best get an idea of my art style, inspiration, reference, etc. I reserve the right to refuse any commission request on the grounds that I feel that I cannot depict the subject matter with confidence or that it is outside of my general style or subject preference. I am quite willing to "think outside of my own box" for a client, however (I have done this many times before), so contact me with your ideas and I will sort out what I can do.

Commercial Illustration: I will gladly accept commissions for several areas in the commercial art market, including magazine, music industry, book publishing, poster and print, greeting card, etc. Please refer to the subject matter guidelines stated above. I require an acceptable legal contract for all commercial commissions.

Portraits: I will consider portrait commissions on a case-by-case basis if the client can provide several high quality reference photographs. It must also be said that, while I strive to capture a realistic likeness, it is not always possible with traditional mediums. To get an idea of my portrait style, take a look at my Iconic pieces depicting Angelina Jolie, Sid Vicious, and Gwen Stefani in the Painting Gallery. Please note that I will not accept portrait commissions involving nude or semi-nude men, in person or in photos.

Media: I work in traditional mediums: oil (water soluble), acrylic, coloured pencil, graphite, pen and ink, or a combination thereof. I do not create digital artwork.

Sizing: I will accept commissions in almost all sizes, from miniatures to murals.

Pricing: Pricing will vary from commission to commission. Several factors must be taken into consideration, from materials and travel expenses to conceptualizing and creating the work. A quote will be provided via e-mail or traditional mail (client's preference) once these factors have been taken into consideration.

Payment: I accept several payment types. Credit card payments may be made using the secure PayPal service, or a cheque or money order may be sent directly to me via snail mail. Payments made by cheque are subject to a 10 day clearance period. Artwork will be shipped after payment has been received and processed. Payment must be in U.S. dollars only.

Commission Layaway: Private commission clients may elect to "layaway" a commission if they cannot afford to pay in full. A piece may be paid off in six months or in one year, depending on client needs. The first month's payment will be considered the deposit and is non-refundable. A contract outlining the payment schedule will be provided by me, the artist, and must be signed/initialed by the client before work can begin. The commission will be delivered to the client when payment has been completed. I do not offer the layaway option to commercial clients.

Sales Tax: Sales tax is an additional cost to be added after the commission quote is given and accepted by the client.

Rights: Unless special arrangements are made I retain all rights to the artworks created. If the artwork is of a suitable subject nature I reserve the right to post the artwork in my online gallery, to use the work in promotional materials, and to make prints and derivative products from the work. Portraits and illustrations based on photographs will not be used unless it is with the blessing of the client, in writing. At this time I do not sell the copyrights to any of my works. Commercial licensing rights can be purchased, but full copyright will always remain with myself, the artist.

Shipping: Packing and shipping of the finished work is an additional cost and is the sole responsibility of the client. Works will be shipped via FedEx or USPS, depending on the project.

Personal Delivery: I will personally deliver finished work to a client as a courtesy if the client lives within the San Diego, Orange, or Los Angeles county areas. Commissions delivered outside of San Diego county must have been priced at or over $1,000 to make the trip cost effective for me.

Framing: Artwork will not be framed unless otherwise requested by the client. An additional cost will be applied to this request.

Refunds: Commissions are non-refundable.

Additional Info: Should you have any additional questions, please e-mail me at wildwyrmart@yahoo.com and I will attempt to respond within 24 to 48 hours. Thank you for your interest!

Purchasing Originals

** Please note that the following information pertains only to works sold directly through me, the artist, and not to works offered through art galleries or other outside parties.**

Payment/Shipping/Personal Delivery: These options are the same as they are with commissions(refer to information listed above).

Art Layaway Option: Collectors may elect to "layaway" an original if they cannot afford to pay in full. A piece may be paid off in six months or in one year, depending on client preference. The first payment will be considered the deposit and is non-refundable. Artworks priced at $500 or under must be paid off within six months. The layaway option is not avaible for works priced under $400. A contract outlining the payment schedule and agreement must be signed by the client at the time of deposit payment.

Refunds: Purchase of original artwork is non-refundable, unless damage or destruction of the work should occur while still in the artist's posession.
